The Structural Model of Job Burnout for Managers of Islamic Azad University (Zone One) based on Work Life Quality, Organizational Commitment and Knowledge Management

Abstract :
The present study aims at presenting a structural model predicting managers job burnout Islamic Azad University (Zone One) based on quality of work life, organizational commitment and knowledge management. The research method applied in this study was descriptive and of correlational. 250 out of 660 managers at Islamic Azad University, District One, were selected as partici pants through cluster sampling, using Morgan Table. To collect the data, four questionnaires were used: (a) job burnout (Maslach and Jackson, 1981), (b) the quality of work life (Walton, 1973), (c) organizational commitment (Meyer, 1990), and (d) the knowledge management (Lawson, 2003). The reliability of all the four questionnaires were calculated. The Cronbach Alpha and the results of data analysis revealed that: (a) all of work life dimensions were able to predict job burnout, (b) two dimensions of the intellectual commitment and normative commitment were able to predict job burnout to the extent of 0.44, and 0.39, (c) the only three dimensions of the knowledge management, (knowledge, knowledge absorption and knowledge use) were able to predict the able to predict job burnout, and (d) the three quality of life (work place health and safely, legalism of the organization, and the overall atmosphere) were able to predict the job burnout.
