A Structural Model for Knowledge Management Based on the Quality of Work Life in Tejarat Bank

Abstract :
The purpose of the present study was to provide a structural model for knowledge management in banks based on quality of work life in Tejarat bank in Iran. The population of the research included all the employees of Tejarat Banks located in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. Hence, 600 employees were selected using stratified and cluster random sampling. The instruments used were two questionnaires: (a) Abili’s (2010) 24-item questionnaire measuring social capital with Cronbach Alpha of 0.98, and (b) Walton’s (1973) 29-item quality of work life questionnaire with Cronbach Alpha of 0.93. The results of path analysis using LISREL software indicated that: (a) This model is a good fit, (b) QWL has a direct positive impact on knowledge management, and (c) Providing the opportunity for continued growth and Security Act in the orientation of QWL which has the greatest impact on knowledge management .
