Relationship between Perceived Organizational Support, Psychological Capital and Organizational Citizenship Behavior among Islamic Azad University Employees, Science and Research Branch of Tehran.

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived organizational support, psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior among the employees of Islamic Azad University, science and Research Branch of Tehran. In this correlation study, three questionnaires were used (a) Eisenberger et al perceived organizational support (1986), adjusted for educational environment by Lamastro (2000), (b) Luthans psychological capital (2007), (c) Padsakoff organizational citizenship behavior (1990), reviewed by Net Meyer et al (1997). the reliability of the questionnaires was estimated 0.81, 0.85, 0.79 respectively through the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. A sample of 234 employees who were selected through stratified random sampling completed the questionnaires. The data was analyzed through descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (Kolmogorov-Smirnov, Pearson correlation coefficient, Durbin-Watson and simple linear regression) using SPSS software. Results showed that there was a significant correlation between organizational citizenship behavior and perceived organizational support (r=0.27). There was also a significant relationship between psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior (r=0.40). In addition, there was a significant relationship between perceived organizational support and psychological capital (r=0.21).
