Presenting a model of improving the work engagement among of faculty members of Islamic Azad University

Abstract :
The current research aims to provide a model to improve the work engagement among of faculty members of the Islamic Azad University of Tehran with a mixed (qualitative-quantitative) approach. The participants in the qualitative part included 18 experts, policymakers of the higher education system, experienced professors, academic experts in the field of behavioral sciences, and the statistical population in the quantitative part included 2674 members of the academic staff of the Islamic Azad University of Tehran, based on the Cochran formula 336 30 experts were selected and 30 experts answered the researcher-made questionnaire to determine the degree of appropriateness of the work attachment promotion model of Islamic Azad University faculty members. The sampling method was used in the qualitative part of the purposeful snowball method, and in the quantitative part, the multi-stage cluster random sampling and simple random sampling method was used. The data collection tool in the qualitative part is the interview and in the quantitative part, the questionnaire is made by the researcher according to the research literature. In the qualitative part, to check the strength of the data, the Lincoln and Cuba index was used and its reliability was calculated through Cohen's kappa coefficient of 84%. The validity of the quantitative tool was confirmed through convergent and divergent validity, and its reliability was calculated through Cronbach's alpha of 0.70. The results showed that according to the presented model of the current research, taking into account the dimensions and components of job satisfaction, being attracted to work, dedication, energy and four effective individual, organizational, academic, and moral factors, and also considering the mechanisms of improving job satisfaction. Including justice, communication, branding, university structure, independence, it is possible to improve the work engagement among of faculty members of Islamic Azad University.
