Abstract :
The general aim of the research was to investigate the modeling of sociological factors affecting sports habits among the elderly in Tehran. The current research is a descriptive research of the correlation type and based on structural equation modeling, and in terms of its purpose, it is considered a part of applied research. The statistical population of this research was made up of elderly people who do moderate to intense physical activity at least 3 days a week for 33 minutes. Structural equation modeling with partial least squares approach was used to test the model. Also, pls Smart version 3 software was used for data analysis in this research. Structural equation modeling indicated that the fit of the tested model was favorable.
