Mathematical Simulation for Determining the Financial Value of Iranian Volleyball Players

Abstract :
Abstract The present study evaluates and determines the financial value of volleyball players in Iran. The research methodology involves a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach. To identify the quantitative and qualitative criteria for player valuation, previous studies were utilized. The statistical population in the quantitative phase included all players in the Iranian Premier Volleyball League, consisting of 14 teams with a total of 168 players. Due to accessibility limitations, the sample was selected using a probabilistic judgmental sampling method and comprised 30 volleyball league players. Data collection tools included semi-structured interviews, closed-ended questionnaires, and checklists, implemented through the fuzzy Delphi method. Based on the financial valuation table, the results indicated that the most expensive player (highest-valued player) was Player No. 5 with a value of 13,532,539,444 Iranian Rials, while the least expensive player (lowest-valued player) was Player No. 16 with a value of 7,023,809,400 Iranian Rials among players in the Iranian Premier Volleyball League. Mathematical and computational methods are powerful tools for fair player evaluation, helping to identify the actual value of each athlete based on their performance and merit. Utilizing these methods for pricing volleyball players can enhance transparency and fairness in player transfer systems and promote professionalism in sports clubs. Moreover, the findings of this research have the potential to serve as a scientific framework for volleyball teams and clubs across the country, optimizing decision-making processes in player management.
