Abstract :

  In Persian language, a comprehensive and critical research on the history of figures of speech and their innovators has not been undertaken yet. This study modestly tries to examine the history of figures of speech, based on the works of Ibn Motaz, Qoddamate Ibn Jafar, Abu Helāl Askari, Ibn Rashiq Qirvāni and Ibn Abilasba.
