Analysis of the Educational-Social Effects of Developing and Promoting Sport for All in the Outskirts of Holy City of Mashhad

Abstract :
Failure to pay attention to the outskirts of cities has caused educational and social damage. The purpose of the current research was to analyze the educational-social effects of developing and promoting public sports in the outskirts of the holy city of Mashhad. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlation in terms of analysis method, and data collection was done in the field. The statistical population was formed by all the marginal citizens of Mashhad city. The statistical sample was calculated using Cochran's formula and 384 people were selected by simple random. The tool and method of data collection was a researcher-made questionnaire on the development and promotion of public sports and a researcher-made questionnaire on the social effects of sports resulting from documentary studies and interviews with experts. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics methods with the help of SPSS version 21 and Amos software. The findings showed that the development and promotion of public sports has a role in social capital, social security and social harms in the outskirts of the holy city of Mashhad. According to the results of the research, the authorities can take steps to empower and improve marginalized people through public sports as the best solution to deal with educational and social harms.
