Abstract :
The sports industry and the export of sports goods is one of the important economic issues and its scope is expanding every day. At the same time, considering that both the exchange rate and the resulting dynamics and monetary policies can be considered as an effective factor in the development of non-oil exports including sports products in oil exporting countries, in the research The effect of exchange rate dynamics and monetary policy impulses on the export of sports products of selected oil exporting countries is investigated. The statistical population of this research is the oil exporting countries with the highest export value of sports products during the period from 2001 to 2022. Based on this and taking into account the restriction of access to the data required for the research, 12 oil exporting countries that have the highest percentage of sports products exports; Algeria, Indonesia, Ecuador, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Kuwait, Nigeria, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Angola and the United Arab Emirates have been selected as the final sample of the research. The data analysis method is based on the quantile panel regression approach. The findings of the research showed that the index of exchange rate dynamics (EXRD) had a positive effect on the export of sports products in the selected countries, so that with a one percent increase in the index of exchange rate dynamics and assuming that other conditions are constant, the export index of sports products increases. can increase between 0.001 and 0.55 percent. Other findings showed that the effect of monetary policy impulse (MOP) on the export of sports products was also positive, and the amount of this effect was in the range of 0.14 to 0.92. It can be seen that with the increase in the level of export of sports products, the impact of monetary policy impulses increases. Based on this, it is concluded that countries with higher levels of oil revenues should consider the effect of exchange rate and monetary policy impulses on the export level of sports products.
