Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to identify the role of social security organization in the social welfare of Iran. The research method of this study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive survey. The statistical pulation of the present research in the first stage included experts and academic faculty members of the university and in the second stage all the citizens of West Azarbaijan Province, in the first stage the number of experts and academic faculty members of the university was 12 people using the purposeful snowball sampling method and in the stage Second, 384 people were selected according to Cochran's formula and by cluster sampling method. In the first stage, the most important factors shaping the activities of the social security and social welfare organization were extracted. In the second step, using the Delphi method and referring to experts during two rounds, the necessity of each of the extracted indicators was checked. So that after removing 7 indicators, the remaining indicators were agreed by the experts with the Kendall coefficient of 0.652. In the third stage, the focus group members divided the indicators judged by the panel members into 2 dimensions and 6 components after discussing and exchanging opinions with each other. the results of the findings indicated that the activities of the social security organization and its subsets have a positive and significant effect on the social welfare (P<0.05) of the citizens of West Azarbaijan province.
