The Role of Social Networks in Promoting Urban Culture (Case Study: Citizens of Karaj in 2018)

Abstract :
. The research aims to examine the role of presence in social networks and the type of its use on the promotion of urban culture and the role of social networks on the rule of law, responsibility, participation and generalism that are the characteristics of urban culture. The statistical population of this research is the citizens of Karaj . The research method is a mix of survey with a researcher-made questionnaire and an a deep interview. The sampling method is multi-stage cluster sampling. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the use and presence of social networks in promoting urban culture. Also, there is a relationship between the use of social networks and legality, responsibility, participation and generalization of citizens There is significance. That is, by using social networks and by encouraging citizens to join the channels and pages of urban institutions with incentives and education tools, urban culture can be promoted, provided that the interests of citizens are considered more in these issues. Other results indicate that currently the content of social networks of urban institutions rarely address the issue of urban culture. Therefore, in order to teach urban culture through social networks, urban institutions should pay more attention to the category urban culture. Experts and experts interviewed also expressed that with appropriate incentive tools can increase the membership of individuals in the channels and social network pages of institutions, then by providing useful, targeted and needed content in educating citizens to promote effective urban culture
