Sampling method is multistage clustering and sample size is 426 persons of inhabitants of old constructions around Razavi Shrine.Findings: Research findings show that most respondents are self-employed, married, diploma, and male. Discussion: The main problems in the renovation of old constructions of a neighborhood are low trust of people to the relevant apparatuses and executors, lack of financial resources for reconstruction among people, neglect of the municipality, allocation of the main benefit of renovation to another, lack of trust between the people and project managers, lack of adequate and clear information about participation, and lack of a place to live during construction. Medium to high level of cultural capital, as well as high participatory social action are also effective. Conclusion: Hypotheses analysis shows that cultural capital is effective on participatory action. In the analysis of dimensions, variables of social commitment, the sense of collaboration, sense of belonging, and knowledge and skill are effective in participatory action.
