Abstract :

A random selection of 184
     University and Azad University of Bandarabbas city were divided into two groups: users and non-users of the internet and their level of depression were measured by having them complete the Beck Depression Inventory. Results showed that the frequency of using the Internet has no significant relationship with the depression. But, the type of Internet use was related to the level of depression, depression being significantly higher among chat room users than among those who had scientific and technical use of the internet.
