Self efficacy and mental health of gifted and normal students

Abstract :
This study aimed to compare self efficacy and mental health of gifted and normal students. Two randomly completed the Raven’s Progressive Matrices test, a student efficacy questionnaire, and the General Health questionnaire. Results showed a significant relationship between mental health and the factors of effort, aptitude, and attitude. But the relationship between mental health and the chance factor was not significant. Furthermore, there were no significant differences between the two groups of normal and gifted students, in terms of their attitudes and social dysfunctioning. Also, no gender differences in self-efficacy were present.
