Abstract The aim of the present study is to predict pain acceptance based on self-compassion and cognitive skills in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). The current research is descriptive and correlational, in which 170 people were selected from the MS patients of the Karaj MS Association in 1402. In this research, McCracken et al.'s (2004) Chronic Pain Acceptance Questionnaire, NF's Self-Compassion Questionnaire (2003), Rescue Cognitive Abilities Questionnaire (2012) were used, as well as the data using descriptive and inferential statistics in the software. spss was analyzed. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the above variables, i.e. pain acceptance, self-compassion and cognitive skills, and also statistical results showed that the two independent variables of cognitive skills and self-compassion significantly affect the dependent variable, i.e. pain acceptance, in patients with MS. have predicted
