Abstract :
Abstract The aim of this study was to investigate equality of life in women in different menopausal stages. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study wherein the sample was taken with multistage randomized sampling method and consisted of 276 healthy women aging from 40 to 60 years old. Data were collected with special questionnaire of QOLin menopause through interviews. Data were analyzed in SPSS using descriptive statistics and X2. Findings indicated that 72.3% of pre-menopause women and 49.3% of peri-menopause women had high QOL. The 87.1% menopause women with <5y, and 79.2% with >5y had the average QOL. The finding also showed that QOL was related to menopausal stage as well as the highest QOL was belonged to peri-menopause (p<0.001). According the findings, QOL was affected by the severity of symptoms. The results of research indicated that QOL in menopausal stage was different dependent on severity of symptoms (p<0.001).There was not any statistical significant relationship between quality of life and duration of menopause (p=0.441).Therefore raising women’s health and knowledge, and teaching health providers and adequate counseling about menopause were recommended.
