Abstract
This study evaluated the effectiveness of stress management training programs on increasing quality of life in two- dimensions (social communications, environment perception) for working women. Method:The population in this study was all women employees of Hamkaran system company in Tehran, 1390. For this purpose, 30 women working in this company were randomly selected and divided into control and experimental groups. The World Health Organization Short Quality of Life Scale as the pre-test was conducted for two groups, before the intervention. The stress management training program was trained for experimental group during 10 sessions. The World Health Organization Short Quality of Life Scale was run as the post-test after the intervention program, and as follow-up after 45 days for two groups. To describe the data, mean and standard deviation were calculated. The statistical method of the average test for scores differential was used to analyze the data. Results: Results showed that stress management skills training programs significantly increased the quality of life and two-dimensions (social com- munications, environment perception) of women employed in the experimental group(P<0.01).These findings suggest the effectiveness of stress management training on quality of life of working women. Conclusion: Based on the results, successful skillful in problem solving and stress management are better in quality of life and social communications or environment perception.
