Abstract :
Introduction Patient safety is an important global concern in all areas of health care services. The purpose of safety in the operating room is to provide the safety of the operating staff and the safety of the disease undergoing surgery. Considering the special importance of patient safety in the operating room, this study was conducted with the aim of Operating Room Safety Status Based on Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Standards at Ardabil University Hospitals. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out with the participation of all 57 operating room personnel of three university hospitals in Ardabil in 1396. The data collection tool was a standard questionnaire of the WHO Patient Safety Friendly Hospital. Validity and reliability of this questionnaire has been confirmed in numerous studies. Data were statistically analyzed using the SPSS 18 software program. Results: According to the Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Standards, IMAM KHOMEINI Hospital with a score mean %82, ALAVI with a score %84 and FATEMI with a score %77 were in good condition. Conclusion: given the importance of the subject, although the safety conditions of the hospitals studied were good, it seems, it should be continually included in the managers' plans, trying to achieve higher levels of Patient Safety Friendly Hospital Standards.
