Abstract :
Much research has been done on pre-Islamic Iranian families, but less attention has been paid to the cultural influences of these families. In this article, through genealogy and survey of the Espahbodan family, as one of the aristocratic families influencing the socio-political destiny of this land, an attempt is made to show that part of our national achievements and cultural continuity of Iranians is rooted in the historical permanence of the ancient families. The Esfandiari family from the Espahbodan dynasty is an example of the cultural continuity and prosperity of these ancient dynasties. A look at the family genealogy of this family shows their wide presence in various fields, from the army to ministry, literature, and art. This article seeks to prove the hypothesis that the influence of the cultural achievements of the Sassanids can be traced not only in the early centuries AH but also to the present day.
