Analysis of the Effect of Lending Facilitation on Women's Vulnerable Employment

Abstract :

As half of the population of societies, women can help increase economic growth by participating in economic activities. However, statistical studies indicate that there are few suitable job opportunities for women in the official sector in most economies. This has led to women turning to domestic and vulnerable jobs that do not have fixed salaries and social security. The purpose of this article is to analyze the effect of facilitating lending on vulnerable women's employment and its role in the transition from the vulnerable sector to the formal sector in a selection of Islamic countries, in which, according to the emphasis of Islam, the enjoyment of human rights, including suitable employment for all sections of the society, especially Women are emphasized. Therefore, considering the time period of 2013-2022, and using the method of generalized method of moments (GMM), the issue was analyzed. The results indicated that increasing the strength of the legal rights of loans as an indicator of facilitating lending has led to a decrease in the vulnerable employment of women, and in other words, it has helped to transfer women from the informal sector to the formal sector of the economy. Meanwhile, other variables, including globalization, gender inequality, and increasing urbanization, have led to an increase in the vulnerable employment of women.
