The effect of sustainability performance on the relationship between organizational risk management and financial risk of companies

Abstract :
The optimal and effective management of the risks faced by companies has a very effective role in their efficiency and effectiveness, and in many foreign institutions, they consider a predetermined framework to deal with all kinds of risks facing the company, which is called risk management. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of sustainability performance on the relationship between risk management and financial risk of companies. The statistical population of the research is the companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange in the period from 2014 to 2023, and using the systematic elimination screening method, the number of 132 companies was considered as the final sample of the research. The results of the regression test showed that the company's risk management has an inverse effect on the financial risk. Also, the level of corporate sustainability performance affects this relationship. Therefore, by implementing comprehensive risk management programs, the company's financial risks can be reduced in the future, and corporate sustainability performance can also be effective in strengthening this.
