The effect of financial attitudes and financial literacy on sustainable financial planning with the mediating role of financial behavior

Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of financial attitudes, financial literacy on sustainable financial planning with the role of moderating financial behavior. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of performance. The statistical population includes customers of insurance companies in Tabriz city. 385 people were selected as a statistical sample by simple random sampling. In order to collect data, the questionnaire of Van Mustafa et al. (2023) was used. The face validity and construct validity of the questionnaire was confirmed based on experts' opinion and the reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed based on Cronbach's alpha 0.894 for financial attitudes, financial literacy 0.788, sustainable financial planning 0.815 and financial behavior 0.843 respectively. In order to analyze the data, structural equation method was used with SMART PLS software. The results showed that financial attitudes and financial literacy have a positive and significant effect on financial behavior. Also, financial behavior has a positive and significant effect on sustainable financial planning, and on the other hand, financial behavior positively and significantly mediates the effect of financial attitudes and financial literacy on sustainable financial planning.
