Abstract :

The tourism industry is gaining more importance in the global economic system day by day while also contributing as an inevitable factor in sustainable development and providing great cultural, social, and economic opportunities for cities. Therefore, the purpose of the current research is to "identify the factors affecting the prosperity of urban tourism with an emphasis on creative industries in order to provide a favorable model". This research was applied in terms of purpose and qualitative concerning its methodology, following a phenomenological approach. The statistical population included all specialists and experts in creative industries and tourism (Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad, and Isfahan), of whom 15 were selected using the snowball sampling method (recruitment of one expert by another based on theoretical saturation). Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data, the analysis of which using the 7-step Colaizzi method led to the design and explanation of the model.From the viewpoint of experts, the influential factors on urban prosperity included 7 main categories (urban tourism, tourism management, support, removal of urban development barriers, strengthening creative industries, tourism infrastructure, and motivation and satisfaction of tourists) and 40 subcategories.The tourism industry has experienced significant growth and development over the past few decades, changing into one of the largest and fastest economic sectors in the world and an important source of economic, social, cultural, and environmental development. In the meantime, it is necessary to consider the attractiveness of creative industries for tourists, particularly in metropolises.
