Abstract :
Today, the automobile industry and especially the tractor industry, in order to reduce fossil fuel resources, need to design and build cars with low fuel consumption. One of the best solutions to achieve this is to reduce the loss of different energies in the car's power generator (engine). The general purpose of using an electric cooling system (fan) instead of a mechanical one (propeller) is for this purpose. By replacing the electric fan for cooling the radiator, it is possible to increase the cooling efficiency by removing the energy taken from the crankshaft by the mechanical propeller and reduce the loss of useful power of the engine to some extent. Therefore, the current research is practical in terms of purpose. When the electric fan gets its rotational power from the battery, on the one hand, the frictional power and consequently the hourly fuel consumption and specific fuel consumption are reduced, and on the other hand, the braking power and thermal efficiency are increased. This test was carried out with a Ferguson MF285 tractor connected to a Sigma 5 dynamometer, so that it was measured at seven critical rotational speeds of the engine, and the results were that the biggest difference in fuel consumption was at a rotational speed of 1100 rpm and where the output torque of the engine and The maximum PTO took place. After installing the electric fan, the fuel consumption per hour was 0.83 liters per hour, the brake fuel consumption was 30 grams per kilowatt-hour, and the fuel thermal efficiency was 4.3% more than the mechanical propeller system. In addition, the longest time for the engine to warm up and the water temperature to reach the optimal and normal temperature of the engine operation with an electric fan was about 2 minutes and 15 seconds earlier than with a mechanical propeller, which reduces the wear and tear of the driving and moving parts and increases the optimal functional life. Contains engine oil.
