Abstract :
This plan is to calculate the shear stress on the safety of a sample disk mower, initially through reverse engineering and conceptual design, SolidWorks software components required for the analysis and design software to help Hyper Mesh and Finite Element were analyzed in ANSYS software. The results of the analysis software based on the thickness of four millimeters for cutting steel plate ST37, the maximum amount of damage equal to 90 MPa tensile stress at the maximum compressive stress of 70 MPa to 80 MPa and maximum shear stress as the main component tensions were obtained. It is also optimized for the same material thickness 2 mm, the maximum tensile stress of 185 MPa was calculated at the injury site and found that the thickness of the piece reaches its breaking point. Regarding the maximum force of 3100 N and Backrest distance to the center of the safety cut 0/157 m, maximum torque of 480 Nm is reached. In laboratory tests, the plot twists for cutting to the desired torque of 670 Nm is reached. The results obtained showed disk mower Finite Element safety cut- page analysis dish is done correctly
