Abstract :
The country's economic growth depends on energy consumption, and increasing energy consumption also increases environmental pollution. Therefore, management of energy consumption in different economic sectors with the aim of controlling pollution is necessary. The purpose of this study is to estimate the share of inputs in production, substitution between inputs and also to investigate the effects of energy substitution on pollution emissions and energy storage in Iran's economic sectors.
To achieve these goals, the translog production function is used. Relevant statistical data for the period 1981 to 2017 have been collected from the Central Bank, the Statistics Center of Iran and the Ministry of Energy.
The results showed that the amount of capital stock, the number of labor force and the amount of energy consumed are substitutes for each other. It was 1 percent and 1.247 percent.
