Abstract :
One of the primary economic goals of every country is to achieve a high rate of economic growth. To accomplish this, it is crucial to adopt appropriate economic policies, including commercial policies, which hold significant importance. However, there are differing viewpoints on the ideal long-term commercial policies that should be implemented to attain a higher rate of economic growth. The theoretical divide among economists in this field predominantly revolves around advocating either free trade policies or updated supportive policies. In practice, these intellectual perspectives have given rise to two distinct development strategies in developing countries: export development strategy and import substitution strategy. Among non-oil exports, the export of agricultural products bears substantial potential to positively impact economic growth.
