Abstract :
This study determines the relationship between abnormal accruals and profit forecasting error with the moderating role of management ability. This study is practical in terms of its purpose, and the research method is post-event causal and the data analysis method is multivariate linear regression. The statistical population of the research is the companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange, and using the systematic elimination sampling method, 33 companies of the automobile industry were selected as the research sample in the 7-year period between 1394 and 1400. The method used to collect information is a library, and the relevant data for measuring the variables is collected from the financial statements of the companies. The results of the research show that there is a direct relationship between abnormal accruals and profit forecasting error in automobile companies. Also, management ability has a moderating role on the relationship between abnormal accruals and profit forecasting error in automobile companies.
