Abstract :
This research examines the comparative concept of monotheism and unity of God in the Holy Qur'an, Torah, and Gospel, analyzing different layers of this fundamental concept in all three religious traditions. Monotheism, as the most central belief in Abrahamic religions, forms the foundation of all doctrinal, worship, and ethical teachings of these religions. In the Qur'an, monotheism is explained in its lordship, divinity, and names dimensions, reaching its peak with the emphasis on "La ilaha illa Allah"; the Torah declares God's uniqueness with the slogan "Shema Israel"; and the Gospel presents unity in plurality through the concept of Trinity. Using conceptual analysis and textual interpretation methods, this study demonstrates that despite theological and interpretive differences, all three traditions agree on the uniqueness of the divine essence, God's having no partners, and the exclusivity of worship to Him. The findings of this research highlight the importance of monotheism as a fundamental point of commonality among Abrahamic religions and provide the possibility of strengthening interfaith convergence based on this shared belief.
