Abstract :
One of the forms of safety analysis is to examine the events. Several goals are followed in this process. The first goal is to prevent future accidents and the second goal is to identify factors that cause accidents and injuries. Approximately, fourteen thousand occupational accidents occur for industrial workers in Iran annually while the main cause is the human factor. The occurrence of such events effects economic indicators, as well as human wastes. So, the effect of individual factors on the occurrence of occupational accidents in Yazd province is considered. This descriptive study is a cross-sectional survey investigating those incidents occurred in the period between 1383 to1385. Results of Spearman correlation analysis show that there is a high correlation between such variables as “age”, “occupational accidents”, as well as the variables like “work experience” and “occupational accidents”. The most traumatic accidents occur for workers between 20 to 30 years old whose work experience level is under 5 years. Besides, the correlation between education level and occupational accidents is low. Finally, using AHP method, these factors were ranked to obtain the necessary and appropriate solutions based on the results.
