The relationship between cognitive resilience and creativity of students in a military university

Abstract :
Background: Given that the variables of resilience and creativity are the most important needs and cognitive components of the wars ahead. and on the other hand, the relationship between these two variables in the context of military organizations is not clearly explained.Objective: The aim of this study was to survey the relationship between resilience variables and components of mental creativity of students in a military university with the approach of extracting a guideline for cognitive practice of the Armed Forces.Methods: The paradigm and methodological approach of the present study is positive and quantitative with a descriptive survey method .The statistical population was the third year students of the military university and sampling method was the stratified random. A questionnaire was used to collect data and Smart PLS was used to analyze.Results: The results of data analysis indicate that all the hypothesized relationship in the model (include Effect of resilience on the components of Imagery / Sensory, Idea Generation, flow of creativity and Metaphorical/Analogical thinking) were confirmed except for two relationship of resilience with the variables of idea manipulation and Incubation.Conclusion: Based on results, the Enhancing of cognitive resilience has a significant relationship with improving the mental creativity of students of the military university through a positive impact on maintaining and training mental skills such as mindfulness and critical thinking.
