Abstract :
A Study of the Narrative Aspects of “The King and the Maid” from Masnavi-e-Ma’navi and Similar Narrations based on Tzotan Todorv’s Model ABSTRACT “The King and the Maid” narration is the most fundamental one in Masnavi-e-Ma’navi with regard to intra-structural factors as well as Rumi’s thought system. Rumi has undoubtedly taken this narration from similar narrations in Persian literature such as Ferdows-al-hekmat, Nezamie-e-Aroozi, Attar’s MosibatNameh, and Nezami’s EghbalNameh and has reproduced the narration with mystic theme systematically. The present research is an attempt to study these narrations based on Tzotan Todorv’s theory in order to reveal the stories’ intra-structural factors which make the stories expand and move logically, through which the fundamental factors in shaping the stories will be unearthed. Finally, it is tried to find the frequency of the narrative aspects in the stories so as to show the final structure of the narrative.
