Prediction and Assessment of Innovation Development in the Automotive After-Sales Service Industry with an Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference Approach

Abstract :
Abstract Innovation in the automotive after-sales service industry plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and driving competitive advantage. Recognizing the importance of fostering innovation ecosystems within this sector, this research aims to predict and assess the development of innovation using an ecosystem approach. Through a mixed-methods approach, the study first conducted metasynthesis to identify key dimensions and components influencing innovation in the automotive after-sales service industry. Subsequently, a fuzzy inference system was employed to evaluate and prioritize the importance of these dimensions and components. The results revealed five critical dimensions: infrastructure, knowledge, interaction of actors, capital, and culture, each comprising several components. Notably, physical infrastructure, integration of knowledge, universities and research institutes, human and social capital, and creating an innovative environment emerged as the most influential components within their respective dimensions. This research underscores the multidimensional nature of innovation development in the automotive after-sales service industry and highlights the significance of fostering collaborative partnerships, investing in talent development, and creating a conducive culture for innovation. Moving forward, stakeholders in the automotive after-sales service industry are encouraged to leverage these findings to develop targeted strategies, allocate resources effectively, and foster a culture of innovation that drives sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
