Designing a distributed leadership model based on organizational excellence in school administrators

Abstract :
Purpose: The purpose of the current research is to design a distributed leadership model based on organizational excellence in school administrators.
Method: The current research method was grounded theory in terms of practical purpose and implementation method. The target population included the heads of the General Department of Education of the cities of Tehran province, and the sampling process continued during the data analysis until the theory reached the theoretical saturation stage and the number of the research sample ended with 14 people. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview.
Results: The findings showed that according to the grounded theory method, each model contains 6 main components, the causal categories are: participatory and interaction-oriented factor, organization-oriented factor; Intervening conditions include: internal and external organizational conditions, lack of acceptance and planning for distributed leadership; The main categories are: delegating authority, sharing teachers in decisions, strengthening group participation, existence of organizational trust, development of professional issues; Model platforms include: organizational platforms, knowledge-based platforms, collaborative platforms, support platforms; as well as strategies: interactive strategies, organizational promotion strategies, empowering knowledge-oriented strategies; And the consequences include: knowledge-oriented consequences, motivational consequences and relationship-oriented consequences.
Conclusion: According to the results of this research, it is recommended to act based on this model in order to be effective in the education and training system, because this model is of desirable comprehensiveness and one of the factors related to the organization of schools is the leadership style of management.
