Abstract :

 

 

Naziri Neyshaburi, one of the well-known poets of the Indian style, created innovative poetic imagery by using diverse linguistic capacities. One of the most important aspects of this diversity, the use of Archaic and Colloquial language at the same time in his poetry, has enriched his expression and made it a comprehensive reflection of the societal-cultural and linguistic transformations of his time. The intermingling of refined and colloquial expression, has made his poetry both appealing to the intellectuals and understandable to the common people. The Archaic language, through the use of archaic words, traditional syntactic structures, and ancient phrases, imparts a traditional dimension to his poetry. In contrast, the colloquial language, with its everyday words, popular idioms, and colloquial expressions, brings a sense of intimacy, liveliness, and mobility. This article, through a descriptive – analytical method, has examined and analyzed the function of archaic and colloquial language in the poetry of Naziri Neyshaburi, to illustrate the manifestations of these two types of language in his poetry through examples, and to explain their role and impact in shaping his literary style
