Gilaki terms for woodworking tools and equipment made of wood from forest trees in Bibalan Village

Abstract :
In every region that has a specific dialect and local language, in order to interact and coordinate between the speakers in daily communication, it is necessary to use special words and terms that look similar to general terms, but from a technical and specialized point of view, they have a They have a strong and genuine support from the experiences and different trials and errors of the past in that expertise and knowledge that could sometimes lead to the loss of a dear one of them. The collection of this specialized information in different dialects and cultures is called indigenous knowledge. This knowledge originates from the needs that have arisen in different eras and ages, and by its nature, it brings the most suitable and compatible categories for its surrounding environment. Local dialects are a way of expressing ethnic and regional wants and needs which is culturally as old as the history of that people. This is passed down from one generation to the next as part of the unwritten native knowledge. Among the many words used in a dialect, many of them can be considered by experts as specialized words for a special science. Since the study area is located in Bibalan village in the east of Gilan Province and on the edge of the forest, many specialized words derived from the use of wood can be of special importance. In this research, about two hundred entries were collected from words related to wood, wooden tools and woodworking materials used in construction in a specialized and categorized manner. By registering these specialized words, it can be prevented from being forgotten by the current generation who are not very interested in the dialect of Gilaki as a mother language and even future generations
