Abstract :
Islamic awakening is a blessed uprising that took place in relatively large dimensions for about two centuries and witnessed its ups and downs during this time. The emergence and spread of Islamic awakening and the spread of its literature, thoughts and insights from Arab lands began when Arab elites informed the people of the sinister goals of colonialism and demanded stability against the invaders. In this regard, because of its strategic location and underground reserves, Algeria has always been the focus of foreigners, especially the French colonial government, among the Arab countries. Until it was occupied by France in 1245 AH and this occupation continued until 1870 AD. The many crimes of the French, such as looting, looting, desecration, etc., led to the formation of movements and resistance of the Algerian people. From this point of view, committed Algerian poets were not indifferent to the society and its existing problems, and they fought foreigners and mercenaries with the weapon of their poetry, and by bringing their poetic language closer to the language of the society and its needs, they tried to awaken their nation. Hence, many revolutionary poets joined the ranks of the fighters, including Sheikh Ahmed Sahnoun, head of the Islamic Da'wa in Algeria, who played an active role in the Algerian revolutionary movement that fought for independence in the 1950s. Among the most important manifestations of Islamic awakening in his poetry, we can mention the call of struggle, praise of freedom and desire for freedom,
