Abstract :

Today, in the management literature, we often see an emphasis on how growth opportunities are a vital resource for maintaining competitiveness and profitability. Growth opportunities are considered the core of competitiveness, so that sustainable competitive advantage in many organizations is significantly derived from growth opportunities. The management of growth opportunities is a central element in the management process and enables organizations to take steps to transform their organizational expertise into products or services. By considering growth opportunities, fewer mistakes are made by individuals, so that efficiency is increased and parallel work or redundancy is also reduced. Ultimately, we will see the creation of more innovative management processes or systems. Business management with growth opportunities in mind promotes a comprehensive approach to identifying, capturing, recovering, sharing and evaluating organizational performance and affects the organization from multiple aspects. Innovation is considered one of the survival requirements for organizations and the role of growth opportunity management in innovation is clear. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationship between growth opportunities and organizational innovation. The target population was Bank Sepah of Semnan Province, 260 of whose employees were selected as a sample by random sampling method and information about the needs was collected through a standard questionnaire. This study was applied in terms of purpose and the correlation method was also used to test the hypotheses. The results showed that among the components of growth opportunity management, the infrastructure readiness component, the environmental acceptance coefficient component and the laws and regulations component have a positive and significant relationship with organizational innovation. While the risk acceptance component does not have a significant relationship with organizational innovation.
