Effects of Dietary Mixture of Prebiotic Mannan Oligosacharide (MOS) and β-Glucan on Growth Performance, Survival Rate and Body Composition of Juvenile Grass Carp (Ctenopharyngodon Idella)

Effect of dietary mixture of Prebiotic Mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) and β-1,3Glucan, on growth performance, survival and body composition in Grass carp juvenile (Ctenopharyngodon idella) were investigated for 56 days. Practical diets were supplemented with 0, 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 g/kg mixture of MOS and β-1,3Glucan in a totally randomized design trial in triplicate groups. The experiment carried out in 15 fiberglass tanks which filled with 1400 lit water. 50 Grass carp juveniles with initial average weight 12.54 ± 0.42g were stocked and fed up to satisfy. As the results no significant differences in body composition or growth performance were observed between treatments and control (p>0.05).The experiment indicated that dietary mixture of Prebiotic Mannan oligosaccharide (MOS) and β-1,3Glucan has not benefit effects on juvenile Grass carps.
