Abstract :
In light of recent technological, economic, and political transformations, job insecurity has emerged as a growing concern and a key issue in both academic research and public discourse. This study aims to identify and explain the dimensions and indicators of job security among workers. Employing a sequential exploratory mixed-methods approach, the research was conducted in two phases: qualitative and quantitative. In the qualitative phase, thematic analysis and literature review were used to develop an initial conceptual model. Subsequently, in-depth interviews with 15 academic and executive experts led to the final model, comprising 3 dimensions, 8 components, and 33 indicators. In the quantitative phase, these indicators were assessed through exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. The statistical population consisted of 384 workers affiliated with the Social Security Investment Company (SSIC or "Shasta") in Tehran. The findings validated and operationalized a multidimensional model for evaluating job security, structured across micro, meso, and macro levels. This model offers a valuable framework for policymaking, strategic planning, and improving employment conditions in both public and private sector organizations.
