The Structural Equations models of Socio- Cultural Reasons on Tendency to Cosmetic Surgeries (A case study among in the city of Ilam)

Abstract :
Cosmetic surgery is an advanced medical- cultural surgery which is among the investigated issues in the society of medicine. The main aim of the present study is discussing the social reasons considering the tendency of women to cosmetic surgeries. the present research was done with using survey method among women with age range of 19-44 years in the city of Ilam. Research instrument is a questionnaire and data were collected by multi- clustering sampling following systematic random sampling method. Research population is including 370 cases that were selected by Cochran formula. For data analysis, SPSS software was used and also for modeling of reasons, LYSERAL software was used. Data analysis shows that cosmetic surgery likeness tendency among women in the age range of in the city of Ilam is intermediate. Also findings indicated that there is a significant correlation between variables of age, social pressure, social acceptance, references groups, religion, media using and women tendency to likeness toward cosmetic surgery and among them, the effect of references groups was more than other variables. Finally derived model in LYSERAL software indicated that variables of references groups, social acceptance, media using, social pressures and age are effective factors on women tendency to likeness toward cosmetic surgery, so the processed model in this research is an appropriate model for investigating the reasons on women tendency to likeness toward cosmetic surgery.
