Abstract :

Proverbs are short words that contain moral and social advice and are used to emphasize and make the speech more effective. The people of Dusiran also sometimes use proverbs in their statements for more emphasis and effect and for the beauty of speech. Dusiran is located 50 kilometers northwest of Kazerun in the Fars district of Kohmareh. In this research, folk proverbs and riddles of  Dusiran have been examined, from the point of view of the content and frequency of terms and words, in order to answer these questions: How is the frequency of terms in proverbs and riddles of Dusiran? Which words have the highest and lowest frequency and what does it represent? What is the general content of  Dusirani proverbs And riddles? The data has been collected through the interviews. Proverbs and riddles of Dusiran are of two categories: Persian proverbs and riddles that are expressed in Dusirani dialect; And Which is specific to Dusiran region, The content of proverbs, which have a metaphorical and sometimes ironic expression, is educational and instructive. The highest frequency of words are respectively related to the elements of nature, body parts and animals, which shows the influence of livelihood, animal husbandry and geographical ecosystem of this village in the formation of elements of popular culture. The difficult-to-pass of this village have caused the least frequent words to be the names of tribes, cities, and occupations.
