Abstract :
Today, because of a rising trend population and the humanitarian needs and thereby increase its energy consumption, energy crisis phenomenon in the world. water, biogas and geothermal energy sources that are clean, it is natural that the use of these energies will bring lack environmental pollution. One of the most important methods is thermal energy storage using phase-change material. With all the advantages this material, a series problems such as low coefficient of thermal conductivity. In this study, a phase-change material paraffin and CuO nanoparticles as improving the thermal properties were used in the smelting process. To study the properties of nanocomposite thermal behavior such as phase change temperatures, freezing latent heat as well as morphology, respectively tests, DSC, SEM, FT-IR were performed on the samples. DSC data indicate that the melting process, optimal conditions for the nanocomposite CuO3wt%. SEM images showing the distribution of nanoparticles are embedded in paraffin as fits. In order to confirm the formation of nanocomposites, nanoparticles and paraffin were studied by using FT-IR spectra results confirmed the formation of nanocomposites
