Abstract :
In this research paper, a very simple and useful method for the synthesis of 2-amino-3-cyanopyridine derivatives by using of one pot reaction of aromatic aldehydes, methyl ketones and malononitril in the presence of iron (III) dodecyl sulfate as a recyclable and environmentally green catalyst is introduced. The preparation of 2-amino-3-cyanopyridines using of suitable solvent and the optimum amount of this catalyst and optimal reaction conditions extended for a variety of aromatic aldehydes containing electron donor and electron-withdrawing groups and also a variety of methyl ketone derivatives in the presence of iron (III) dodecyl sulfate was generalized. The advantages of this method are high efficiency and short reaction time, easy separation of products and the use of environmentally friendly catalyst. The main considerable purpose of this study is the synthesis of 2-amino-3-cyanopyridine derivatives in the best way and adapted green chemistry standpoint.
