Modeling and simulation of the consequence of gas explosion in a chemical unit

Abstract :
In this research the effect of probable leakage of Hydrogen gas to prevention of accident occurrence in a production unit was investigated. PHAST software (6/53/1) was used to simulation and super steam explosion phenomena and induced wave of explosion comes from hydrogen was investigated. This research was done with death rate (100%) and atmospheric stability (B, D, E) and in three level of wind rate (2, 3, 5) in the direction with eruption. The result indicate that the gas arising from super hydrogen gas in furnace, in the distance of 20 meter was 3-73.5 psi which cause the complete damage of furnace and machines with the weight of 1500 Kg and damage of metal structures of the buildings and digging of them.
