Preparation of Chitosan-Polyaniline-ZnO Nanocomposite Hydrogels and Their Characterization as Drug Delivery System

Abstract :

In this work nano-composite hydrogels based on Chitosan have been synthesized in presence of ZnO nanoparticle and Polyaniline. Then the inflaction amount of hydrogel in pH=7 and pH=7.4 and delivery behavior of drug of this hydrogel was studied. The result showed that increase in weight percent of ZnO cause decrease in inflaction amount of nano-composite hydrogel. Investigation of drug delivery function in buffer with pH=7.4 showed that with increase in percent of nanoparticles, delivery amount decreases so that the lowest amount of drug delivery and inflaction is related to nanocomposites with 5% nanoparticle.
