Abstract :
In the present days, increased energy use of of the world energy, depletion of petroleum resources and air pollution, environment takes a lot of notices. Biodiesel is one of the renewable resources and possible substitute for fossil fuel. The common method for providing biodiesel is transesterification by reflux, which having several difficulties such as high energy consumption, saponification reaction. Moreover, the wastewater ejected during washing stage of process causes environmental pollution. Hence, in this research work it was tried to find a new method for producing biodiesel. It has been achieved using alcohol and oil in the presence of clinoptilolite as catalyst, by refluxing, electrolysis methods .The rate of oil produced through reflux electrolysis methods is found to be 72% and 87% respectively. All standard tests have been carried out on various samples and results were on possible ranges of ASTM D6751, EN 14214. At the end XRD, SEM, EDX tests were carried out for various catalysts.
