Abstract :
The concept of “Mahbat al-Wahi” (Place of Revelation) as the site of divine revelation within the historical, mystical, and philosophical context of Islam is a key concept that has a profound impact on the formation of Islamic civilization and the elucidation of the process of revelation. The primary objective of this research is to analyze and examine the concept of “Mahbat al-Wahi” in its historical, philosophical, and mystical dimensions, as well as to elucidate the role of this concept in the process of divine revelation and its impact on the formation of Islamic civilization and the transformation of human society. The central research question is: How is the concept of “Mahbat al-Wahi” analyzed in the history of Islam, philosophy, mysticism, and Quranic interpretation, and how does this concept play a role in elucidating divine revelation and the process of human guidance? This study employs a descriptive-analytical methodology, analyzing data from historical, philosophical, and mystical perspectives to explore the various dimensions of the concept of “Mahbat al-Wahi.” The results indicate that, in Quranic interpretation, revelation is recognized as a tool for guiding humanity and transforming the pre-Islamic society into an Islamic community. Additionally, from a historical perspective, the places of revelation have played a significant role as key points in the formation of Islamic civilization and the history of Islam. On the other hand, in philosophy, “Mahbat al-Wahi” refers to more than just a physical location; it points to the spiritual capacity of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in receiving divine truth. In Islamic mysticism, the heart of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is recognized as the primary “Mahbat al-Wahi.” Overall, the concept of “Mahbat al-Wahi” not only refers to specific geographical locations but is also connected to the spiritual and existential dimensions of revelation. This concept plays a vital role in elucidating revelation in Islam from various aspects (historical, philosophical, mystical) and can simultaneously guide us in better understanding the process of revelation and the relationship between humans and God.
