Abstract :
The Holy Qur'an is the manifestation of many meanings and metaphors, which have been explored from the point of view of rhetoric, but due to the lack of research done in terms of semantics and conceptual metaphors, the need for more research and investigation is felt regarding some words. . The word light is repeated 43 times in the Holy Quran with different meanings. The word Noor is used 24 times in the form Al-Nur, 9 times in the form Noura, once in the form Noorkam, 4 times in the form Noorah, and 4 times in the form Noor, and the words derived from this phrase Nar and Munir are used in the Quran has gone As explained below, the word light has many metaphorical uses in the Holy Qur'an, and these meanings are extracted in terms of conceptual metaphors and determined by the use of lexical, narrative and interpretive sources, which are guidance and faith, Islam, divine commandments in the Torah. And the Gospel, knowledge, material light of sense, imamate and guardianship, God and the light of the earth in the Day of Judgment are all interpreted with this word in the Holy Quran.They have given different definitions for light; Some of these
In religious texts, light has been applied to various examples. These examples include a range of beings, one side of which is sensory light and the other side of which is God's essence. They have been called light, but the lightness of all these beings refers to the true light, which is still God's essence. Also, light is one of the names of God and the name of one of the surahs of the Holy Qur'an, and it is one of the words that has many uses in the Qur'an and hadiths. And it has been applied to various examples. Although these examples are not of a single type, the existence of a special feature in them has caused them to be called light.definitions only refer to sensory light
