Abstract :
Religion and religious beliefs have had a great impact on the culture and art of a civilization. Religious thought and thoughts have created changes in art, because religion and art are closely related to each other.. Considering the fact that the Ilkhanid and Timurid era is one of the eras of cultural glory, it is important to examine the role of religion and its factors in the evolution of arts. The main purpose of the research is to investigate the role of religion and religious policy of Ilkhani and Timurid rulers in the development of decorative arts. The research has been done in a descriptive and analytical way by collecting information through historical, artistic, and library sources. From the obtained results, it is possible to point out the connection between religion and art and its expansion. Demonstrating religious politics in the construction of all kinds of religious buildings, including mosques, tombs with decorations, magnificent plastering, tiling, inscriptions and writing religious manuscripts along with the arts of calligraphy, gilding and embellishment, by creative artists, in art centers Under the support of the rulers, it can be seen that on the one hand, there is the unity of religion and art in the form of artistic creations based on the policies of the rulers, and on the other hand, innovations and innovations in all kinds of art, along with its evolution and transformation.
